Kee-Mo-Kee Fundraisers

During the year we may have fundraisers to help finance the ongoing operations of the camp. Since 1996 we've been running
a Turkey Dinner and Silent Auction on the last Sunday in April. This event is always a good time with lots of good food. We usually manage
to fill the Komoka Community Center with Kee-Mo-Kee supporters (i.e. You!). This a chance for you to enjoy a great meal cooked by our
own camp cook, Donna Patterson, as well as support the work of your camp. We often have door prizes or table favours available (in
past years we've had bags of apples, little trees, or plants). You may also get to meet the Board of Directors, the camp summer Directors,
and other camp staff. There may also be special presentations for people who have played an important role in the history of
camp Kee-Mo-Kee.

The silent auction usually has 50 - 100 items, some handcrafted, others which are donations from local businesses. You may find items
like a handcrafted stained-glass patio stone or decorative park bench; tickets to the Grand Theatre; gift baskets; homemade pies or
preserves; and lots of other items. And don't worry if you miss getting a pie in the silent auction. The dinner includes tasty homemade
pies and desserts donated by our board members and local UCW groups. If you just can't get enough of these desserts, any pies which
weren't needed for dinner are auctioned off in the popular "pie auction" at the end of the day.
Tickets are usually available by March each year. If you'd like to take part in this fundraiser, just contact any member of the board, or leave
a message with the camp. We'd love to see you there!
